Our Story
Randy Wiles and Bill Dubeau opened Capital Granite in May 2006 with a vision to help enhance the beauty and value of homes and businesses throughout the state of Michigan by providing the best natural stone products. “Our goal is to be the best, not the biggest. We’re aiming to be the most elite and educational fabrication shop,” said Wiles, Company President. “We’re rooted in a particular mindset, and we’re not going to sell you on something unless we genuinely believe it’s the right product for you. When you work with us, you become a part of our family.”
Our Vision
At Capital Granite, our vision is to set a higher standard for stone fabrication and installation - built on craftsmanship, intentional quality, and long-term performance. We believe that stone is more than a finish; it’s foundational to the spaces where life happens. From countertops to custom applications throughout the home, we want our work to enhance daily living, perform with strength, and bring lasting beauty.
Our vision centers on doing things the right way. That means thoughtful fabrication processes, structurally sound installations, and attention to details that others might overlook. We purposefully design with:

Advanced reinforcement techniques like rodding and precision edge work
Precision fabrication that respects the natural character of each material
We invest in craftsmanship because we know quality matters - not just visually, but in how a surface holds up over time. Premium fabrication and mindful installation are central to why stone lasts longer, wears better, and delivers greater long-term value.
